The main difference between non-woven tape and polyethylene tape is that the material is different. Polyethylene tape uses polyethylene; while non-woven tape uses non-woven fabric, usually polypropylene. Due to different materials, there are certain differences in performance between polyethylene tape and non-woven tape, including air permeability, water permeability, tensile strength, etc.
1. Non-woven tape
Non-woven medical tape is characterized by extremely low irritation, no tingling sensation when peeled off, and feels relatively light and breathable; however, its strength is relatively low and it is not waterproof.
2. Polyethylene tape
Compared with medical non-woven tape, polyethylene tape sacrifices a certain degree of breathability in exchange for higher strength and has a certain degree of waterproofness, but the irritation when it is torn off is relatively obvious.
