Elastic crepe bandages are stretchy and have a special woven crepe fabric construction that has a non-slip surface and is highly absorbent. They are soft and comfortable to wear. These tapes conform to the body, allowing for movement and flexibility. They also provide a good stretch for joints and muscles after minor injuries and provide adequate pressure to the application site. It is porous enough to promote air circulation and reduce skin irritation. They come with clips and are individually wrapped. Not made of latex. They are available in different sizes, with or without red cord.

Crepe bandages are strong support crepes suitable for medium to long term bandaging needs. They are ideal for securing wound dressings, supporting strains and providing pressure to relieve swelling.

They are available in two weights to meet different pressure requirements.

Medium Weight

Medium weight crepe bandages are suitable for use as dressing fixation. They are suitable for securing gauze, stopping bleeding and providing light pressure.

Heavyweight

Heavyweight crepe bandages are suitable for use as support for sprains and strains of joints and muscles. It can also be used as a medium pressure bandage for swollen knees, swollen ankles and other related injuries.

For Dressing Retention
Firmly wrap the injured area using a figure 8 shape, or overlap for limb areas such as forearm or calf. Ensure that the areas above and below the injury are covered.

Always ensure the binding is comfortable. Should any numbness or tingling sensation arise, unwrap the bandage & rebind less tightly.

 

Contraindications and Precautions

Any wound and gauze dressings underneath cotton compression bandages should be changed daily, or more often, according to the condition of the wound.

Seek medical advice immediately for all serious wounds and burns. If redness or discomfort occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician.
